Making School Stress-Free

Who We Are

We believe full-heartedly that education should not be limited to anyone, no matter their race, culture, background, or circumstances. Learning and education should be open to all who want it, and we’re here to help that happen.

How We Started

The CareCrew was founded in 2022 by Grace Hureau, a student inspired by the missionary biographies of George Müller and Gladys Aylward. Recognizing that not everyone has equal access to educational opportunities, Grace envisioned a world where education is no longer an advantage reserved for those who can afford it. What started as a passion to erase the border between education and those without access has grown into a thriving nonprofit dedicated to removing financial barriers for students in need.

  • Our mission is to provide educational resources to children and communities worldwide who may struggle to afford the materials necessary for school, paving the way for future generations.

  • The areCrew’s vision is a world where basic education is accessible to all communities, and children everywhere will have the support they need to attend school. We plan to build our community in our home, Kentucky, and reach communities outside of the United States in the near future.

    • Teamwork: We believe that two are always better than one and goals can truly be achieved through combined efforts.

    • Innovation: The world is constantly changing, so the development of new ideas, suggestions, and questions is a must in our non-profit.

    • Perseverance: We appreciate the value of surmounting struggles because it provides anyone with the skills they need to flourish.

    • Respect: We attest that one of the most important gestures that anyone can give is respect.

Note From Our Founder

When I was in sixth grade, I read the stories of George Müller and Gladys Aylward and knew I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others access education. I realized that many students don’t have the same opportunities I’ve been blessed with, and I wanted to change that. Starting this nonprofit has been an incredible journey filled with challenges, growth, and countless rewarding moments. Seeing the direct impact of our work, from the 150 school supply bags we’ve distributed to our first Global Scholarship recipient, reminds me why this mission matters. To students wanting to start something impactful: always try, and don’t underestimate the power of showing up and inspiring others. You can’t do this alone, but when you stand boldly for what you believe in, you’ll find a community ready to run the race with you.
